Mountain House Plans

Inspired by the Blue Ridge. Designed for the Elevation.

We’ve always believed that good design should be rooted in its surroundings. So while our early work celebrated the Southern coastal vernacular, we wanted to prove we could do more. That’s where Blue Ridge Inspirations came in.

Released between Carolina Inspirations II and III, this printed collection reimagined many of our classic plans—this time tailored for mountain settings. Today, we’ve expanded and evolved that work into our Mountain House Plans collection.

These homes blend rustic character with refined architecture—designed to sit beautifully in wooded lots, hillside properties, and cool-climate communities across the country.

Why Our Mountain Plans Stand Out

  • Regional Character – Gable roofs, heavy timber accents, natural materials, and a deep connection to the landscape.

  • Reimagined Classics – Many of these homes began as Lowcountry plans and were transformed to suit a new environment.

  • Purpose-Built for Terrain – Walk-out basements, sloped site solutions, and efficient footprints for mountainside living.

  • Warm, Livable Interiors – Open living spaces, cozy hearth rooms, and porches that celebrate the view.
